Steam produced by Dupray steam cleaners is also ideal for cleaning the wine barrels. The oak used in wine barrels is very porous and accumulates tartrates, residues, tannins and other bacteria that lowers the quality of wine. With help from Tecnovap® Bacchus equipment the steam opens the pores of the barrel permitting a deep cleaning, and prolonging the life span of the wood. The extremely high temperature of the steam allows for tartrates to be melted away in much less time than hot water, while using far less water.
