Over the course of the last few months, we –the employees of Dupray– have delivered steam cleaners to a variety of award-winning animal-focused charities.
We’ve sent machines to the Search Dog Foundation, 4 Paws for Ability, the Vet Dog’s of America and Noah’s Ark Rehabilition Center, to name just a few.
@Dupraysteam Wow! That would be amazing! Could you email firstname.lastname@example.org with more details? Thank you SO much!— Noahs Ark Clubhouse (@NoahsArkClub) September 25, 2015

But, why animals?
Well, in short, we want to see our machines do ‘good’ in the world.
And… we REALLY love our dogs and cats.

If you think about it for a second, animals both domesticated and captive often rely on the discretion of humans. They are dependent on us for food and shelter. The whims of a human caretaker have lasting implications for every animal.Even with the best of intentions, animals can inadvertently be harmed.
Take household products for example. What do carpet, window and floor cleaners have in common? They’re extremely toxic to dogs and cats. The ammonia used in de-greasers, the chlorine used in disinfectants and dish detergents, and the glycol ethers found in ‘removal’ cleaners are extraordinarily dangerous to animals. They can, and do, cause cancer, anemia, liver and kidney damage in mammals.
Moreover, how do animals interact in a world largely shaped by human beings? Not the way we do, that’s for sure. They interact with their surroundings much like a child would – close to the floor and licking everything that they’re curious about.
We forget about how vapor fumes and air fresheners permeate the area powerfully against the respiratory systems of smaller-sized cats and dogs. And, we don’t understand how a meager amount of residue left after scrubbing the bathroom floor has substantial repercussions when a dog decides to curiously taste what it is.
Obviously, here at Dupray we think that every single pet owner should own a steam cleaner. That’s our goal. It might take us a while to get there, but we will.
In the meantime, we’ll settle on helping out animals that help out others. Our donations to the Search Dog Foundation, 4 Paws for Ability and the Vet Dog’s of America will directly benefit the dogs that do so much ‘GOOD’ in the world. Whether it is rescuing survivors of a disaster or terrorist attack, or helping disabled soldiers and autistic children, we want every dog to be reared in a safe, no-chemical environment so that they can continue to persevere with the important work that they do. More than that, we want every animal to live in such a positive and proper environment.
We don’t plan on stopping here either. If you know any animal charities that need a steam cleaner, give us a shout through social media or at firstname.lastname@example.org. Also, follow us on Twitter (@Dupraysteam) to see whom we’re helping next!
