Our Story.

Inspired by an episode of Discovery Channel’s Dirty Jobs, we developed the first iteration of our steam cleaning business in 2008 as two young 20-something entrepreneurs scrubbing chewing gum, litter, and graffiti from the streets of Montreal.

Dupray has now grown into a high-end line of versatile home and commercial products ranging from steam cleaners to air purifiers and spot cleaners. We pride ourselves on clean designs, powerful performance, and immensely satisfying results. That’s #TheDuprayWay.

Dupray's Milestones.

2006-2008

The Startup.

Two young entrepreneurs, Sébastien Dupéré and Brent Gray, see an opportunity in creating a specialized cleaning business to clean dirt, gum, and graffiti from the streets of Montréal, Canada, using and experimenting with large commercial steam cleaners.
2008-2010

The expansion.

The team quickly expands their operations and uses their hands-on experience to create the perfect commercial steam cleaner with the help of a manufacturing partner in Italy. The first launches are a success and Dupray is born.
2010-2015

The commercial roots.

Dupray tours North America to test their commercial steam cleaners in many industries: factories, hospitality, restaurants, and the US army. While continuing trials related to thousands of different applications, the team is seeing more and more interest in bringing the power of steam into homes. Dupray becomes an early adopter of e-commerce straight-to-consumer sales in the industry.
2015-2016

The early success.

Dupray gets listed on INC. 5000’s list of America’s fastest-growing privately held companies. Co-founder Sébastien Dupéré is featured on the cover of Startup magazine.
2017

Dupray goes to Europe.

With growing global demand for its products, Dupray launches in France, the United Kingdom, Germany and throughout the European Amazon marketplaces.
2018

Launch of the Neat™ steam cleaner.

The Dupray Neat™ arrives on the market: their very first product entirely designed in-house, for the household market and using the same advanced technologies that made the commercial steam cleaners a success.
2019

Voilà™ clothes steamer rolls out.

The Voilà™ clothes steamer gets to work: A better portable garment steamer for quick touch-ups at home or on the go with patent-pending cool touch casing.
2021

Dupray releases game-changing Coronavirus testing results.

An independent study confirms that Neat™ steam cleaner is an efficient bacteria and virus killer, showing a ≥ 4.75 log (99.998 %) reduction in viral concentration after 30 seconds of steam exposition. Testing was completed on human coronavirus strains and common household bacteria such as E. Coli, Staphylococcus aureus and MS2 Bacteriophage. Results indicate over 99.9% inactivation of viral particles with Dupray steam technology.

2023

Launch of Bloom™ Air Purifier.

After 4 years of research and development, Dupray finally launches Bloom™ Air Purifier, a patent-pending air purifier with a unique design that blends in with any decor. As a planter or an accent table, Bloom™ Air Purifier is the most beautiful way to enjoy cleaner, healthier air.
